Harebell

The bathroom curtains are almost finished...

Heavy rain first thing, that eased up during the day, and the skies looked to be clearing as MrM and I set off for an early-evening walk on part of the Humbleton round. But before long the cloud came down and soon obscured the sun altogether. We did the shorter route, thinking that maybe we'd go down to the Common on a newly created stretch of footpath, but the grass was long and very wet, so we continued through the woods.

The hedgerows are suddenly very autumnal - bursting with rose hips and hawthorn berries, and the rowan trees are heavy with berries too. Lots of harebells along the verges.
