A Prime magnolia [L2D8]

Day eight of the second lockdown. Albeit only level 3 rather than level 4, it is still restricting. Working from home loses its appeal fairly quickly, due to the difficulty of advising on treatment when I haven't seen and talked with the patient. Zoom meetings do tend to be more tiring than face to face meetings. There is one advantage; many of the Zoom meetings end up being shorter than they would have been face to face.

I didn't finish the day's emails until after 5 pm. Then I went for a run. Along the southern edge of Grey Lynn Park , then up the hill of Prime Road to get to the Grey Lynn village centre. It was in Prime Road that I saw this magnolia, whose flowers are described as bird shaped. The flowers are usually prolific in late winter, as now.
