A day in the life

Drying path

We've had a couple of weeks now, with no rain and high temperatures. Leaves hangs listlessly from every plant and tree, trying to household with what's left. The forest path, usually humid and springy is now dry and hard as rock. There's dew in the morning an evening but that's all the moist there is, hardly enough to produce apples and pears in a couple of weeks. We might get some rain towards the weekend, let's hope for that. Not that I like rain but I like fruit and I suffer with the plants.
