Too Slow

By the time I had thrown off the thick gloves and grabbed the camera out of the car this mechanical shovel had scooped up our old washing machine, dropped into the skip and was returning to pick up the collection of small electrical items seen in the photo. 
I was most impressed by the assistant in the hi-viz vest, who not only warned me not to trap my feet when lifting the machine out of the car but then took it from us and heaved it away to the appropriate position for the shovel.

We have been without a washing machine since 3rd August so are looking forward to the delivery of a new one; we waited in on Tuesday, only to discover there had been a new arrangement for booking deliveries, so had to re-book it. There will be Harsh Words - not to mention a nasty smell - if it fails to arrive on Wednesday next.
