a lifetime burning

Tulips?

Flower Friday: Not tulips, but sedum

Its been blowing a gale and pouring with rain today as the latest storm arrived properly.  Cathy's been at work, and I've pottered around playing guitar, reading and baking bread.  Not terribly stressful!

I'd originally booked a trip to Seville with a group of golfing friends that was due to take place in late September.  It was booked late last year, long before we realised that there would be a pandemic. The flights were cancelled some time ago, but the chaps have been debating whether or not to try to rearrange the trip for somewhere that we are currently allowed to go to.  I've decided that I don't much feel like flying at the moment, so have pulled out, with some regrets.  Interestingly though, the feeling of relief at having come to this decision considerably outweighs the regret.

Cathy and I will have to revisit the idea of holidays at some stage (probably in the New Year), but at the moment there's no place like home.
