Making Apple cake.

Stephen picked a lot of the apples from the tree right at the back of our garden next to the shed.
I planted it years ago.
This year it has had the most amazing bumper crop. They are sweet and juicy to eat. I had one after breakfast.
Such a taste of the spring and summer all contained within.
He decided to make some Apple cake to take with us to Bristol tomorrow.
We are going to see the family once again for a picnic in their local park.
Just hoping it doesn’t rain.
I am holding my breath too here (which is counted as Birmingham although 8 miles distant from the centre), as they are beginning to talk about more restrictions possibly being put in place once more due to a spike in Covid cases.
They usually announce these things without warning!
A friend is popping in for a visit this afternoon.
Oh and the sunflowers all survived the extreme winds of yesterday, for those of you who asked.
