Beresford Gdns

A neighbourhood party! Almost like old times. Not quite in our neighbourhood, mind - no, no, to the daughter’s neck of the woods - Trinity proper. Where the ‘Gardens and Avenues’ were holding their annual jamboree. And very proper it all was too - we had lemonade, fudge, looked at books, at plants and then we came across a guy selling hot dogs who had a most impressive BBQ going in his front garden. So obviously I engaged him in talk about BBQs - as men do. I must admit I may have looked somewhat enviously at his operation as he smugly kept up a steady supply of perfectly cooked sausage to the hordes at his gate. My 37cm sounds not a lot smaller than his 22", but believe me, that’s less than twice the area.
And then we strolled off for a promenade round Starbank Bank, leaving the kiddiewinkles to socialise a bit more. Though by the time we exited the park they were already sitting at a table outside the Starbank Inn. Good call!
