Street Corner Series

Edgewood Road at Crestview Drive

Wednesday evening.

This feels like the most 'normal' blip I've been able to muster since August 15.  The air wasn't good this morning but it cleared as the day went and it cleared out to green (for good) on the air quality report for the first time.  And the first day where it's felt like the CZU fire isn't breathing hard down our collective necks.  The hard work is continuing but the briefings have been a bit more upbeat and some good news is that the evacuation order for UC Santa Cruz was lifted this evening.

I keep thinking about all the wildlife displaced by the fires.  And all the humans and animals in evacuation centers wanting so much to go home... that time will be a ways off.  Knowing how hard the firefighters and combined teams are working around the clock.
