A day in the life

The last supper

I invited my landlord and his wife for a dinner tonight, we had a very pleasant few hours together and my food was very well received, to my relief. After a welcome drink on elderberry juice and grape tonic with a hint of gin and some red currant berries we had minced lamb with pasta and then some coffee and ice cream.

We will surely meet more times but on Tuesday the new owner of the property takes over and I get a new landlord to relate to. I don't expect there will be any big difference for me but still, it's a totally new era starting. The old owners family has had the farm for generations so for him, '"the last supper" in his childhood living room is probably quite accurate.
