August or October?

Dry but cold.. a very Autumnal nip in the air. 
The ivy has been growing , but that's not surprising as it's a few months since we last trimmed it and it s growing up , under and beyond the gutters. To think that it all started from a 6" pot 30 years ago.

Started at one end and did as far as the  bathroom window. Brown bin is now full so we'll do the rest next week. ( cant face a 90 minute queue at the recycling centre again! A shame we cant book a time slot) 

Walked Fletch round AH grounds. 
Home and mowed the lawn.. it needed it. The seeded areas have come up so its looking better. Cut back the laurel and griselinia in the corner as it was overshadowing the camellia. We now have a full brown bin and a full large green bag.
Blip is the view from the kitchen door.  You can see the long strands of ivy that still need cutting. 
The dark nights are creeping in already and tonight the central heating went on for a couple of hours! They say it may get warmer in a week . I hope so. Its supposed to be still Summer!
