Flower Friday ...

... Juvenile hummingbird.

As I mentioned on Wednesday I feel so blessed that we have been seeing at least two juvenile Ruby-throated Hummingbirds zooming around in the back yard. This is very rare ... we typically only see one at the most and that's earlier in the season.

We load our yard with all sorts of hummingbird attracting plants and flowers ... like this shrimp plant that they LOVE!  And we put out hummingbird feeders starting in April!  Most years this doesn't do us a lot of good ... besides adding to our frustration of not seeing many hummers!  But this year seems to be different ... and we are seeing more and more hummers! Much to our delight!

So ... here is yet another beauty.  Most likely a juvenile male.  The image  looks sharper in large.
