Courting couple

It looks like we may have more dragonflies in the pond next year, as these two common darters went about their business in the sunshine, eventually overflying the pond laying the fertilised eggs.  I tried for some shots of them laying the eggs, but they don't stop moving and I didn't manage a clearly focused unblurred shot with a fast enough shutter speed, despite setting the shutter at 1/1,000(!)
