Screening Centre

There have been a few pictures taken today, but this one sums up the times and amused us both. I hope you can see the graphics and what's written under them.

The day started with me driving G to school. I then drove over to Time Square Mall to sit it out. Back to collect her and whilst driving away, she got a message to say that none of the shadow teachers can enter the premises without a negative COVID test, so after lunch and a little nap, I looked up what needs to be done and unexpectedly got an appointment for her within half an hour.

I remembered reading back in April that certain categories of residents (pregnant women, people of determination, the over 50's etc.) can get free tests. Thankfully this is still valid but if it wasn't, G's parents would have split the $100 cost.**

We chose the National Screening Centre in City Walk. I was impressed at how organised it is once you have your appointment. There was a bit of a queue but the actual swab was done very quickly, all in the comfort of your own car.

As the appointment cut across our 4 o'clock tea time, we dropped into a Dunkin' Donuts for a coffee and doughnut treat. We then swung by Grandiose for some more celery and then back home for the evening. No school for G tomorrow as it takes 24-48 hours for the result to come back.
