Milly gets her teeth done

Today was the day for Milly's annual dental check. A potentially testing time for both horse and dentist: a large metal brace is used to keep the horse's mouth open while the dentist looks inside and files down any sharp edges. Few horses are really at ease with being constrained like that.
Matt the dentist is a kind and patient practitioner. He has checked Milly before while letting her move around in the yard, which is harder for him but reduces her anxiety. But to help things along, I had Milly mildly sedated today. With her move to a new home imminent now, I needed to make sure that the whole thing went as smoothly as possible. And it was fine. Later Milly and I walked back to the field together and shared an apple.
