The second half of life..

Underbelly

A day of pottering, packing, pottering, pretending, pottering and packing.........but I'm still not packed!  Ah well, there's always tomorrow morning.  To be honest, the pottering was far more important than the packing - I'm only going away for 2 days and the weather forecast is good.  I have most 'stuff' in piles ready to load so shouldn't take long in the morning.  Famous last words!

We just had a sizeable rumble this evening - magnitude 5.7 but thankfully, 62 kms deep.  It was centred 90 kms south of here near St Arnaud so no wonder it felt like a reasonable sized event.

In COVID news, a very positive day for the numbers.  Just 2 new cases - 1 each in quarantine and community, and a very healthy 16 recoveries dropping the active case total to a very positive 115.  It feels like we're back on the nervous tightrope walk again though, as we wait to see what happens in Auckland and how (or if) their reduced travel restrictions impact the rest of the country. One day at a time.
