Our happy place

Not the allotment but the caravan! Hopefully this signifies the end of any lockdown, although I suspect that may be a bit too hopeful. But we were in this very place, Cromer Scout hut field, in our caravan, the weekend it all flared up, with lockdown following 2 days later. We are back for a weekend with a few friends. Tomorrow night we will be in the teepee, but tonight we sleep in luxury! And for the two couples camping with us, it is sheltered and really quite warm, so you probably won't need 5 pairs of socks Karen! Although I'm glad you learned something from your brief spell as a girl guide - to 'be prepared' :-)

I took the day off today, got up late, then after a long shower and a lazy breakfast drove in to Cromer. Firstly I dropped off some bits in the caravan, then on to QD and Morrisons, before going home where I enjoyed another half hour to myself in the french quarter with a cappuccino, a jam doughnut and the newspaper! It was lovely!

Then I made a french apple tart (see extra) to share with friends at the weekend. Mollie and Josh put in an appearance after lunch. Mollie had a big chunk cut off her hair yesterday. It suits her, but is still long by most people's standards. The hairdresser in Norwich specialises in curly hair. She did a good job.

At 4 I went up to the allotment to see my wayward hens, cleaned our their house and gave them enough food for 2 days. They won't eat it all while they have lots of new grass to scratch in. They had made a good start on it, just in 24 hours.

Jon and I brought the caravan up here after Jon finished work then we went back for dinner. Now we are back and settled for a peaceful evening with our books, and the sound of the passing Cromer traffic! I hope to sleep like a log as i was awake a lot last night. I think I will. I am pretty sure I could live in a caravan if i had to!
