A quiet corner

Back in St Laurent today, to try out the new restaurant. It has a nice shady terrace above the river, shade much appreciated as it was 32C again. They do salads and small plates, so we shared a few. It was good, if not as great as the new place in Lagrasse. It was cheaper though.

Afterwards we dropped in to look at Ross's art gallery. He's been there for years but we've never actually been inside. When we left I still didn't have a blip, so we had a wander round l'Escargot, the oldest part of Saint Laurent, so called because it's a small spiral. Even the old houses here are being tarted up. We talked to a Belgian guy who had used the stone from a nearby demolished house to rebuild the former ramparts. Here's a previous blip of the central square. We bumped into someone else we know and haven't seen for a while ... she was painting and renovating her house. It's all go.

At home, S is revamping the art collection now that we've moved the furniture around. Meanwhile I snoozled on the sofa.
