Blackrock Cottage, Glencoe

Our last full day in Scotland today, so we had to go into Glencoe. There have been so many pictures over the years made here that have inspired me, and even in bad weather, I hoped I could do it justice.

We started at Blackrock Cottage, and were blessed with a couple of blasts of sunlight on the cottage, with that fabulous dark sky behind.

Then we fancied a walk, so we climbed up above the ski centre to get views from up high, but the weather really came in, with torrential rain, and wind so strong Deb could hardly stand up; did get the second extra of the rainbow up there though (Deb had to shield the lens from rain while I shot the panorama. Had to call it on that walk, so we returned to the car, and drove along the Glen Etive road - a single track road with (much needed) passing places, described as one of the most beautiful roads in Scotland.

Pretty wet day, but again produced far too many photos just to post one, so there's three extras for you as well.
