Old Mother Shipton

Our daughter and family came to visit today - arriving mid morning. After a brunch of bacon and egg sandwiches (for the grown ups) and banana eggy bread (for the children) we headed off to Knaresborough to visit Mother Shipton’s Cave. We had pre-booked a ticket - £30 for a car, so we all piled into our ‘bus’ to get there

We did spent quite a while in the children’s play area and also had an ice cream. To be honest there is not a lot to see there...the petrifying well was interesting but not riveting. We did use up our allotted 2.5 hours though and didn’t get wet!

The photo is of a statue Mother Shipton (she was actually a real person in the 1400s) in the cave where she was born.

Extra is of a rather startled triceratops!
