Slim pickings today!

Sunday 6th September 2020                (backblip)

A mixed day ...... sunshine put in an appearance for a while ..... then it had to fight with the clouds that kept passing over.

As it had stayed dry we decided to have an amble up the road ..... with macs at the ready just in case!

Very little wildlife about today ...... we did see a Common Darter ..... a few White butterflies .... a Robin ...... House Martins & 11 Cormorants flew overhead!

During a brighter spell I did mange to get these Hawthorn berries ...... then it clouded over again!

As we walked along we were being watched! This cat was closely following our progress as we got nearer to it ...... allowed me to take a photo .... before it stretched & sauntered away :-)

We spoke to a couple of the people that live along there ..... one who told us that they had a Kingfisher nesting by the pond in their garden! I'm so jealous!

As we were almost home & just as the rain started ..... we spotted this Great Spotted Woodpecker high up in the tree ..... I did manage to get this one photo before it flew off!

Thankfully it was light rain so we only got a little damp!

Stay safe everyone :-)
