Dividing Line

Uncertain plans because of rain in the forecast that eventually receded, led me to go out early today,  by which time it was overcast and windy. Of all the subjects I found, this patch of moss around the base of a tree attracted me the most. I remember being so concerned by the twig in the bottom right being too bright which turned out to be a non issue.

Looking at the file later, the element that drew my eye most was the thin line, possibly the beginnings of a vine, which runs from top to bottom, dividing the image in two. I decided that it added a bit of tension and I really like the rich brown and orange hues.
