Man Over Board!

So last night we were enjoying a quiet peaceful evening when a gent appeared at the patio door knocking and shouting that a man had fallen in the marina and he needed help to get him out! Our neighbour had apparently taken his dog out and it had run straight into the water, when he couldn’t pull the dog out he’d jumped in after it, rescued the dog but couldn’t get himself out again. As he was a rather portly gentleman with a broken shoulder no one could pull him out so we lowered a patio chair into the water to raise him up whilst waiting for the fire brigade. Someone eventually secured a step ladder from the nearby pub and we had him sitting on the pontoon when the ambulance arrived and the fire engine was stood down. The gent did spend some time being monitored in the ambulance before he was released but hubby said he’d been out and about this morning. I’m hoping there’s no excitement this evening!!

A murky, mizzly day which we’ve spent catching up with hubby’s Aunt, Uncle and cousin...sunshine is thankfully forecast for tomorrow!

Stitching on my leggings for Tiny Tuesday. Thanks to MaryElizaR for hosting this month.
