Nature's Intricacy

I've waited all year for a sedum we bought in the spring to come into flower.  The flower buds have been formed for months but it stubbornly remained in that state, only now offering up this display.   I need to do some more macro work to bring out the wonder of the flowers structure but I was short on time so that will be for another day.
