A Perfect September Day

Today has been beautiful one of those end of summer days which are just about perfect, I liked this scene although the sky has too many clouds for my taste but I know we can't have everything can we?  

We were woken in the early hours by the alarm monitoring people and 3 policemen checking round the garden.  Thank goodness it was nothing more than a fault on the system,  but today when the police often get accused of "not turning out" it was good to know first hand that this isn't necessarily true. As a consequence neither of us had much sleep and so today I've only been out briefly and Jack not at all.
