Make Every Day Memorable

Connel Bridge

Apparently 3" of rain has fallen in the last 24hours. Certainly the roads around here are flooded in places and the A83 has been closed for the 2nd time in 6 weeks because of a major landslide.
Luckily we weren't intending to go that way but we waited until mid morning before venturing out, hoping that the rain would ease.

While editing and catching up with Blip this morning, I was aware of something quite large jumping over the garden fence, just outside the patio doors. I was  delighted to see a female Roe Deer calmly walk past our cottage (called Roe Deer Cottage!) and into the owner's garden next door.
Ten minutes or so later she came back, over the fence again into a 'wild' area beyond the garden. Suddenly we saw a young fawn get to it's feet and follow it's mother. It had been there all the time but ,so well camouflaged, we hadn't spotted it.
I did get a couple of shots but hope to improve on them as I suspect the doe is a regular visitor.

The forecast suggested that the weather would improve by mid afternoon from the south  so we drove down the Argyll coast route to the Isle of Seil.
The Broon's recent blips from this little corner of Scotland had awakened my interest and although damp, we've had a great day.
As Jorgiesdad has posted a view of The Clachan Bridge, the only route from the mainland over to the island, Ive decided to blip the iconic Connel Bridge which spans the bottom of Glen Etive and on our route.

Thank you for all the stars, hearts  and comments for my Old Mill from Sept 11th. I was so pleased to have found it and even more delighted to have captured the essence of such a magical place
