Stars and Lights

Wildwood had mentioned the challenges of lighting spaces with high ceilings especially when the lamps need to be renewed.

It is a reasonable point to make.  It is certainly something that causes a lot of hassle at Hill of Tarvit ,where we hope to guide again in 2022. It has three chandeliers with many lamps and they burn out quite often.

Today’s Blipfoto shows the ceiling above our studio and our "lounge".

There are no lamps hanging from the ceiling. We light it using uplighters. Two 10 Watt LED uplighter are all that illuminates the ceiling in this photo.

Choosing the correct colour temperature of LED is fairly critical. These particular lamps have a rated life of 35,000 hours.

A lighting engineer once told me off for referring to lamps as bulbs. Of course, bulbs are planted in the garden. In the case of our garden they just appear and they move about. Go figure!

It is a day for deliveries from Amazon and from Sainsbury’s.
