Life through the lens...

The Town Hall.

Marazion’s Town Hall and ground floor museum. Built in 1871.
It was once the Marazion and District Fire Brigade’s headquarters. Then later became Barclays Bank.
The back section was the towns gaol, and a typical cell has been reconstructed as part of the museum.

Marazion is one of the oldest chartered towns in the UK.
Charter granted by Henry 111. In 1257.
Reaffirmed by Queen Elizabeth 1. in 1595.
It was the major town in the area until the late Medieval period when. Penzance started to take over.

I took the photo while waiting for MrC to buy our lunchtime pasties from Philps.
Oh they tasted so good!

We spent most of the day once again on the beach. It was much quieter today.
Just can’t believe this fabulous weather.
25 C and sunny.

Extra photo taken from my late afternoon walk along the coastal path from a Perranuthnoe.

Once again thank you for all your comments, stars and hearts.
