Dawlish Warren

We drove down to Devon this morning to spend a few days at Dawlish Warren.  Our planned Teignmouth break for earlier this year was cancelled due to the pandemic so it's nice we now have the chance to get down here.

Dawlish Warren is renowned for its holiday accommodation sites, acres of nose to tail caravans and lodges. Each site having their own eating/drinking/entertainment centre, plus pool of course.

We decided we wanted something a bit more socially distanced and so are staying in a ground floor  apartment in a large Georgian house set in acres of open parkland and woods.  The place is very nice, the views are stunning, across the Exe estuary to Exmouth and over the parkland.

In fact this is the same apartment that Colin had secured for us when we and others were to celebrate his 60th birthday in May, unfortunately downgraded to a surprise zoom party

We met Colin in Dawlish and had a takeaway drink and chat in the town's gardens before heading off to our accommodation. The picture gives an idea of the view towards Exmouth.
