Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

And so it starts.....

Online school….(.Actually it's been a week of "strong start"..whatever that is, but I think the "real" classes begin this week. )    I asked the parents for a photo of the grandchildren’s “school” to record as a historical event…hopefully this will not be repeated.     So here you are on the first real morning… Looks like Oskar (HS soph) has his breakfast waiting (Can’t do that in class!)  and Niklas (senior) has the new pup underfoot.   Tatum (senior) seems the tidiest, and Fiona (5th grade) has all her special things nearby.   I think they are all out of their pjs.  That's good.    They are lucky they all have their own bedroom and good wifi and plenty of electronics, unlike so many others to really worry about.    Even so, it’s not going to be easy on anyone in the family.

The air is still “very unhealthy” (but not off the charts like poor Portland) .  The library has postponed curbside pickup for the 3rd time.  I was wondering what the school district would have done if they were running as usual.  Just read that Vancouver BC has closed it’s schools while the air is so bad!    Doesn’t endear them any more to the US, since it’s our forests burning causing this smoke.  The border is still supposed to open the 21st but we are expecting to hear the next month extension any time now.     There were only a few raindrops....still waiting for the magic.  I did not go out of the house today.  Broke down and used the erg a few minutes to see if I could stand it...it's so boring and I'm old and not supposed to do exercise with this air, but inside????  Sent a book to Blurb and cleared up some more studio.
