This is a close up of the muslin bags I bought with the pink boiled up crab apple mush (which was still very warm), seeping through and draining beyond the colander into the pan below! A bumper harvest this year. A quirky smell, very difficult to think of a comparable smell.

Apparently if you let the juice drain for hours and don’t poke or squeeze the bag then you get clear jelly as we have in the past. This year the bag has been prodded, squeezed and wrung for maximum yield so cloudy jelly it is!
