Back and beyond

“Fight for the things that you care about. But do it in a way that will lead others to join you.”  Ruth Bader Ginsberg (1933-2020)

Behind our complex of apartments, between us and the small holding olive farmer who originally owned all the surrounding land, is this untouched area that at night is the roaming territory of the local wild boar - you can hear them snort and snuffle as they forage about in the dark.  Well I foraged about in the daylight, looking for a photo, but I neither snorted nor snuffled, as far as I know.

I am so very sad to learn of the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg yesterday.  She wasn't the only one who really hoped that she would make it through to November 4th and beyond. In these relentlessly difficult days, her loss is yet one more burden that characterizes 2020.  May her dignity, integrity and valour in the relentless pursuit of what is right and just, be an inspiration for us all in making the changes needed for our world to be a better place.

"I would like to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability."  Ruth Bader Ginsberg (1933-2020)
