If you can't beat them...

Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus Terrestris)

Back to normality after our cruise on Solace.  The grass had shot up during the two weeks away.  So as the weather was good but the grass heavy with dew mowing had to be my first priority.  A self propelled lawn  mower on damp grass presents a few problems, at least mine does.

Later I wandered the garden looking for a blip.  Bumble bees are still very active and I am trying to perfect my technique for getting good shots to submit to "Get Cumbria Buzzing".  This shot is  a Buff-tailed Bumble Bee on the pink form of Purple Toadflax (Linaria purpurea).
