Herb-robert ( Geranium robertianum )
Being home comes as a shock as far as blipping is concerned. After a couple of weeks with interesting subjects literally passing you by each minute finding blips at home feels desperate.
I don't think I have blipped Herb-robert this year so when I saw this one peeping out from under the verandah at the Lodge it seemed to solve the problem.
In days gone by the plant was used for nosebleeds which is I suppose partly how it got the Herb part of the name. I don't mind them cropping up in the garden as being a native plant they are good for wildlife. We need to remember the area of the country covered by gardens is far larger than the areas covered by nature reserves.
