Wound up in Wexford

Gaura

I do love the willowy gaura, which have developed a lot since this photo.  I'm particularly pleased with the position we have finally found for it.  When you sit in the garden room it makes a lovely foreground, to look through it to the rest of the garden - though this photo was not taken from inside the garden room, as to fully benefit from the effect, I need to clean the windows!

It's not yet totally to my satisfaction, as there is a preponderance of the pink and white one.  I would like to see more show from the pink variety with lovely reddish buds, and the pure white variety.  Judicious cutting back in the winter, and maybe even lifting and splitting the pink and white one should improve the balance next year.

For the last few days since our return from Sweden, we have lacked motivation, and have been excessively tired.  Today we managed to get back into another groove - we got up the will power this morning to restart our regular exercise sessions in the studio.
