Believe it or not it "snew" all day and this is the worst it got. I've seen bigger Hemesetas©. (Apologies to Pooh for theft of one of his past tenses.) Then it turned into rain which made it treacherous for a while. Then it wented and the lawns are nearly all green again.

These two blokes seem to be self appointed guardians of the slopes. They were out "early on" skillfully spreading the, council-supplied, salt. Not willynilly in gurt heaps, but ever so delicately, skillfully and thinly spread over the steepest bit.

Had a quick dash to Morrison's, red wine and a brew for the grabbing of. The Vampires are in town again so I dropped in to The North Lakes hotel to part with my 56th "very nearly an armful", so Gaffer had yetanother coffee in the Martindale lounge at just over 3 quid a throw while I had 500ml of the coldest water I've ever had since we used to sup out of mountain streams and a, much smaller, less pleasant cup of Vampire tea.
