Impressions on a Frosty Morning

The low temperature for our overnight backpack into the Quehanna Wild Area was around 20 degrees F, and we awoke on Tuesday morning to a rather cold start. There was frost everywhere, and I put on some layers, grabbed my camera, got out of my tent, and headed for the fields below.

I walked down through the trees and down along the creek, which is running quite low these days, due to lack of rain. There were plants with little round white balls on them everywhere, and I thought it was fun to take a photo of their reflections on the stream.

The soundtrack song: Springsteen and crew, with Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out.
