Sgwarnog: In the Field

Freak

I wandered into a freak hail storm as I detrained at Guiseley on the way home from work. Thunder cracked and lightning flashed and an inch or so of icy slush soon formed.

One train and one stop later, the walk up the hill from Baildon station took me past lots of struggling, sliding vehicles and it looked like there had been one or two minor accidents already.

I’d hardly got used to autumn yet, and already a taste of winter.
