wild & precious life

Grange over Sands

What a beautiful place!

Arrival at the site was slightly stressful as 8 caravans/motorhomes arrived at the same instance. A lorry had had an encounter with a caravan which meant we all got backed up on a country lane for sometime & then set off again together! I was a bit concerned for an elderly man who injured himself because he was rushing to maneuver his caravan as he was worried about causing people to wait.

I did, however, see a buzzard very close up on a wooden post whilst waiting.

Once we had set up and had an afternoon rest, we had a lovely evening stroll from one end of Grange over Sands to the other. We started by the station, walked past the park and duck pond, up through the shopping streets, past various churches and then joined the promenade (shown in the blip) at Clare House to walk back.

We are now tucking into a vegetable pasta bake, garlic bread and a bottle of red.

The news announced that back home in the North East stricter measures will now be coming into force. From Wednesday it will be illegal to mix households in any indoor venue (except work and school). My daughters have messaged, naturally concerned.
