Happy Birthday to our son.

This photo was taken on his birthday last year when we could all be together as a family.
It’s been quite a year.
I ended up in the back of an ambulance with Stephen on my birthday, as he was being rushed to hospital for surgery which saved his life.
He had his birthday 4 days later in hospital, thankfully recovering, due to a wonderful surgeon.
Our granddaughter’s first birthday was in the first lockdown in March, when no-one could go anywhere.
And now our son, Alan, who is 36 years old today, is having his birthday under the Rule of 6. There being 6 people in their home already no-one else can be there. Followed by our grandson’s 9th birthday on October 5th, when he will have a very restricted birthday this year.
Such different circumstances repeated in households all over England.
Thankful we have a family. Though at times like these, it is poignant, with one other person forever missed by his brother and us.
If you click on the One year ago today, you will see last year’s photo. We’ve seen them twice since lockdown and then only in their local park.
