Here Comes the Rain Again

I took this photo late afternoon, just as the rain started again - and it's not going to stop for a day or two. I think I've got my new carpets ordered and booked for installation the earliest they can do at the end of November. As usual, the salesman missed one of the rooms off the description in the quote, so hopefully that will be tied up tomorrow. It's been a long time since the first quote due to delays for getting the en-suite done, drying a room out after a burst pipe, xmas, lockdown, supplier going bust, new supplier only starting production in Aug, problems getting the yarn, more problems getting the dyes, mismatch of colour between the 4m and 5m rolls. I'm not holding my breath. Thanks for your garden suggestions yesterday, very helpful :)

Day 201 / Full Day 193 of Lockdown / Day 19 of Rule of Six (for my record only)
UK deaths up 66 to 42,268 (revised basis), with a 6,968 rise in new daily cases, and 2,376 patients in hospital. Deaths in India pass 100,000. The US President and First Lady both test positive for Covid, at the moment the President has mild symptoms and hopefully they'll both recover quickly. The UK R rate rises to 1.3-1.6, with the number of new cases rising between 5% and 9% every day. ONS sampling indicates new cases at 8,400 a day for w/e 24/9, down from 9,600 the previous week. Hopefully taking the two together, the actual position is levelling off, except in the North of England. 770 students test positive at Northumbria University. HRVY, a contestant on Strictly, has tested positive.
