Wall To Wall

A grey old day by the time I went out, sadly I missed the early sunshine. Fortunately, I noticed these asters on previous days, but had always passed them by. In the overcast light, they came into their own, showing off their subtle shading and vibrant colour. The yellow centres contrasting nicely with the pale pink petals. And the yellow leaf (which I found in place) adds a touch more variety to the image.

I lifted the shadows a touch to avoid dark recesses in the greenery and dropped the luminosity of the pinks because they looked a little flat in the raw file.
