Early start for Day 7 of my walking challenge

My turn to take Miss PHL to the station and I woke just before the alarm as I heard whimpers from the kitchen. Downstairs to see a very happy puppy who was relieved (in all senses) in double quick time. Got dressed in my walking gear and after dropping K at the station, I headed to Dalkeith country park and was walking just before 8.

Did the 6km route and was home again by 9.20 (5 minute drive to the house). Lovely to be walking through fields of cows and horses and hardly seeing another soul.

Home to shower and change. Did 2 loads of washing, tidied away the previous washing from the aired, hoovered the downstairs and it was still before 12. Getting up early means you get loads done in the morning - who knew?!

Ran out of puff this afternoon so it was a quiet one reading and playing with Phin. Listened to the first minister outlining the extra Scottish restrictions and as we’re in the Lothian health board area we’re restricted to our local area from Friday at 6. However we’d planned to visit our son and his girlfriend to meet their puppy on Friday afternoon so we are going ahead and will take the Motorhome so we have somewhere to be if the garden gets too cold.

Spent most of thus evening telling Phin off as he seems to have a crazy hour or so before he settles after we’ve eaten. He’s so cute when he’s biddable but his crazy time is a little trying!
