Warm spices

Today's Dutch course assignment was 'spices' , so  again I could combine assignments, as spices are a great help in the kitchen :-) These are 4 fragrant spices (star anise, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon) used for speculaas , a Dutch treat  during the colder months. I think a little nutmeg and most certainly some ginger would be added too for the cookie dough. See a less edited version in the extra, they were simply laid out on my iPad.
