Malvern Day 4

We stayed put in Malvern today.  Ann went for a long walk round the town looking at the buildings this morning after which we took a walk to Malvern College.  Dating back to 1865 the college, an independent school, now covers 250 acres.

After a photo stop we continued into town to visit the cafe we went to a couple of days back and had a nice drink outside, the weather being sunny, if a little chilly.

On return to the apartment I cooked a mushroom and bean paella for lunch served with veggie sausages.

After lunch we had a walk to Rose Bank Gardens in the town centre and starting point for a trek into the Malvern Hills, though the '99 steps' to St. Ann's Well are currently closed.

The quartet of pictures are: (a) one of Malvern's wells spouting pure water, whilst I was there taking a photo I had a chat with a local man filling his water bottles (b) the priory tower plus the Abbey Hotel taken from the gardens (c) the main building of Malvern College and (d) the skylark sculpture in Rose Bank Gardens, I blipped the other sculpture in the gardens, of two buzzards, a while back .
