Carron Valley Reservoir

Haven't been up at Carron Valley for years. It's about a half hour drive and that's probably why. But with a free morning we tootled up for an invigorating walk along the shore line. Here's the overspill at the main dam (there's another at the western end) It's a big bit of water - the third largest reservoir in Scotland I believe. The extra is the heron flying overhead. A bit blurry on its head but the wings are sharp enough.

A worrying rise in the number of Covid infections, people in hospital and, sadly, deaths. I hope the restrictions coming into force at 6pm are effective. The FM has had to clarify the nuances of cafe/restaurant. I wouldn't wish to be in her shoes.

Wishing you all a good weekend.
