It's autumn, so time for the annual photo of the Kirk and its fiery vigne vierge.  I was prompted by Fairmilefoto to walk down this afternoon before it disappears.  Unfortunately I didn't miss the rain!

Earlier, after a good night's sleep and some WhatsApp voice messaging with #2 son (lying by the pool with #2 gf, J, after lunch out and getting ready for dinner out later - remember those halcyon days?) I cycled to the pool for a good swim.  Later long chat with J, still in quarantine - over a week to go.  A quick trip to the PO to return most of the items that arrived yesterday and then a good Skype catch up with #1 family.  The news from there is that they are going to the Rescue Centre tomorrow to get a kitten - well Olivia is determined they are coming home with a kitten,  her mum was more wary. Spent a good 20 minutes helping Olivia spell the list of things she'll need for a kitten and then there was a brief chat about Hallowe'en costumes.  Amelia prefers to play with the i-pad which makes it difficult to chat.

Eventually got into the garden to wrap up furniture and plant some more winter plants.  If J, D and mum come up later this month I may need the patio heater.

Then that trip to the Kirk, with a side visit to Margiotta where I avoided the worst of the rain.  Tonight, more telly I suppose.

Today is World Mental Health Day and World Homelessness Day.  Both are linked and have come to the fore in this time of Covid.
