Incy wincy

A brighter day, with a few spells of pleasantly warm sunshine. After a much needed trip to Sainsbury's, I spent the middle of the day helping Pete and Alex in the garden, though I think I spent almost as much time poking around the bosky corners looking for fungi and invertebrates as doing anything very useful. I picked this garden spider mostly because I love the warm tones of the fading peony leaves that form the background. Eventually rain stopped play again - culminating in another very heavy rain shower with one surprising and very loud crack of thunder. I read later that, at that moment, Peterborough was the only place in Europe to have a lightning strike! Freaky.
