Calm waters......

All fun and games for us in Essex with the news today that our council has voluntarily placed us in Tier 2 of the Covid restrictions (no household mixing) despite our rates being much lower than other areas of the country. Oh and Southend and Thurrock councils are still in Tier 1 so they stay as they are...... I give up trying to work out what will happen next!!

But life goes on as normal and we had a spot of shopping to do in Southend today so while the sun was out we ventured out! Felt sorry for the Wimpy owner trying to explain to a group of 'elder' visitors that they couldn't mix their tables as there was more than 6 of them.  I think those in shops and hospitality need the patience of saints at the moment in dealing with some of the public! And the with the constant changing rules the fun will just carry on! What a time to be alive.....

meanwhile in Southend, a new 3 floor Primark opened and the queues were round the block to get in...... we avoided the area!!
