IRIS FOETIDISSIMA

According to one web site, this is grown "for the bright orange seeds which burst forth from the seed-pods in autumn, but do not fall . Whole stems can then be cut to make an impressive floral display which lasts until the following year."

This stem is not living up to that reputation.

A three image focus stack, back lit by window light, with a white card reflecting light on to the front of the plant, a gold reflector brightening the backdrop and a little tonal balancing in Photoshop.
