Boomerang

At last.....

.... the fisherman was successful today. There were a lot of salmon jumping today and one was enticed onto N's fly. I am pleased to say it was safely returned to the river to swim upstream and make lots of salmon for the future. The main shows himself concentrating on his casting and with his red line making a pattern like the "taking a dot for a walk" activity we used to be given to do in primary school.

There was lots to look at along the river bank today. The patterns of the bark and moss on an old ash tree and the dense, plump bunches of rowan berries particularly took my fancy (extras). The dippers, grey wagtails, mallards and mergansers kept me amused and hopefully I might manage to capture some of them tomorrow.
